Since erectile dysfunction is rarely talked about in a casual setting, a lot of people start to develop myths and misconceptions about them. This extends to the medication-related to them.

Does Cialis Make You Bigger?
At the very top of most popular misconceptions on Cialis or Tadalafil is the idea that it can actually make your penis bigger.
The answer, of course, is no. Cialis does not make you bigger than you already are.
What the Tadalafil does is just inhibit the phosphodiesterase type 5 to create an erection. Most people prefer to use this one over Viagra because it lasts significantly with minimal side effects. One pill of Cialis remains effective for as long as 36 hours (1).
Cialis is known to help with obtaining an erection, so that may be why people think it makes them more prominent. Some people are likely used to being flaccid and see themselves as ‘smaller’ than the actual.
Can Medication Improve Your Erection Hardness?
Despite not making men physically stronger, there are actually some other ED medications that are proven to make erections harder for those with ED.
According to a study where patients were given sildenafil for two weeks, there was a significant improvement in erection hardness for sexual intercourse. Patients were initially given 50 mg for the first two weeks, and then the dosage was upped to 100 mg. The results found that sildenafil, particularly in 100 mg dosages, was more effective than those that used the placebo effect.
During the study, the men were asked to answer a series of questions afterward that dictates whether they found any changes in hardness. They were also asked whether there were any improvements or success in their sexual intercourse after taking the prescribed medication (2).
Their results were actually consistent with previous studies done on this topic.
Does Cialis Affect Ejaculation?
Another thing that Cialis does is assist in ejaculation for men with erectile dysfunction. The research revealed that not only does it make men more sexually active, but it also helps men with ED who have problems achieving orgasm. Around 60 percent of those tested showed improvement in sexual intercourse and were able to get an orgasm. Participants were asked to take 5 mg of Tadalafil every day (3).
Takeaway
Overall, Cialis may be effective for erectile dysfunction in various ways, but it does not make you bigger or more endowed. It may appear that you are having these effects, but there has yet to be conclusive evidence that shows how Cialis makes you physically bigger.
Don’t be discouraged, though! These medications actually have other benefits such as longer and more sustained hardness and better performance in sexual intercourse.
